ABOUT MARILYN
Marilyn Lande has been an artist and an active member of the Denver community as an educator, cultural arts specialist, and artist. Her husband Harold Lande helped and supported every aspect of her artworks. Marilyn and Harold raised 3 children, Mark, Danny, and Beth, including; their extended family Neal, Dawn, and Terry. Her grandchildren, Talia and Gabrielle helped with some of Marilyn's artwork. Harold and Marilyn spent a lot of their time travelling the world and learning about their Jewish heritage.
Marilyn has lectured at several national conventions on art, creativity and education. Her artist book "The Haggadah Transcending Time" was specially recognized by the National Museum of Women in the Arts for the Art Book Grant of 2002. Marilyn's independent research project regarding Jewish women and their work can be viewed at Penrose Library of Denver University. Her multi media artwork surrounding Jewish history has been exhibited across the country.

Jewish History in Miniature, created by Marilyn Lande, 1970 – 1993, Discovery and Library Center of Congregation Beth Shalom, Centennial, Co., 2004 to 2010 - Seven Independent Environment Designs created in folk art style, emphasizing Jewish History through individuals, such as, Sonia DeLaunay (20th century artist/designer-France), Marc Chagall (20th century artist-Russian), Myer Myers (18th century silversmith-American), Kasmunah (Poet –13th century-Spanish), Portuguese Passover in Holland (17th century), Victorian Jewish Women (c. 1850-1900 – British, American and German)…highlighting 30 influential Jewish women of that time) and the Vittorio Veneto Synagogue (c. 1701-Italy).
