LANDESCAPES
The artworks created from the adventures of Marilyn and Harold Lande
Marilyn Lande has been an artist and along with Harold they wereÂ
active members of the Denver community. Marilyn is an educator, cultural arts specialist, and artist. Her husband Harold Lande supported every aspect of her art, co-travels and, of course their life together and children, Mark, Danny and Beth; including their extended family Neal, Dawn, and Terry.  Their grandchildren, Talia and Gabrielle actually helped inspire and create some of Marilyn's artworks. Harold and Marilyn travelled the world to delve more deeply into their Jewish heritage.
Marilyn has lectured at several national conventions on art, creativity and education. Her artist book "The Haggadah Transcending Time" was specially recognized by the National Museum of Women in the Arts for the Art Book Grant of 2002. Marilyn's independent research project regarding Jewish women and their work can be viewed at Penrose Library of Denver University. Her multi media artwork surrounding Jewish history has been exhibited across the country.
JEWISH HISTORY MINIATURES
This exhibit includes several miniature rooms created by Marilyn. These rooms give credence to the talent and exciting history that belongs to the Jewish people and is continually being added to. The miniatures reflect the Jewish people and cultures in which they lived world-wide; including the United States, England, France, Italy, and Spain.Â
These rooms can be a resource for all educators as they excite the imagination, combining information in the arts, as well as sociology and cultural history; they specifically can be used for Jewish education as well as one chapter in a multi-cultural world.
